The leadership of the Volta River Authority (VRA) Staff Groups has reported a fractional suspension of select protests actions following late mediations by the Minister of State at the Energy Ministry with respect to the proposed consolidation of the VRA and the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo).
This decision comes after President Akufo-Addo recognized the staff groups' prior appeal and mentioned their contribution on the consolidation, as well as an October 3, 2024, meeting including the VRA Board, Management, and the Staff Groups' leadership.
