President Nana Akufo-Addo has declared an expansion in the cocoa producer price from GH₵3,000 to GH₵3,100 per 64kg pack, addressing a slight ascent of 0.03% from the past rate set in September for the 2024/2025 yield season.
The change, which means GH₵49,600 per ton, is expected to adjust cocoa costs to current economic situations and offer extra help to Ghanaian cocoa farmers.
Talking at the National Farmers' Day grants function in Accra on Friday, November 8, President Akufo-Addo expressed that the increment followed suggestions from the Maker Value Audit Panel.
