Nine months after his studio session with Sarkodie turned into a web sensation, Safo Newman has uncovered that the meeting was musically unproductive.
The team met at Sarkodie's studio in February 2024 after Safo Newman communicated a longing to thank the rapper for his affirmation.
Reviewing the moment, Safo shared, "Sarkodie tweeted that I was unique, loved my style, and anticipated working with me. I was appreciative and expressed gratitude toward him in his DM, yet I felt it wasn't sufficient. In this way, I inquired as to whether I could meet him actually to communicate my appreciation."
Following their meeting, bits of gossip spread that they had recorded an industry-changing banger set to be delivered not long from now.
In any case, in a new interview on Hitz FM, Safo disheartened expecting fans by expressing that no cooperation of that sort was at any point recorded. He decidedly explained that their meeting was simply conversational, and "nothing happened" regarding music.
When inquired as to whether his disavowal was to satisfy Sarkodie, who is known for his severe approach of staying quiet about joint efforts until true declarations, Safo Newman repeated that no unreleased venture is being kept down.
Clearly frustrated, the 'Akokoa' hitmaker stays hopeful that, brilliantly, Sarkodie will favor him with a refrain.
