Former Youth and Sports Minister Elvis Afriyie Ankrah has required a far reaching upgrade of sports in Ghana.
His comments come after the Black Stars' fruitless bid to fit the qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations(AFCON), set to happen in Morocco one year from now.
This denotes the first time in quite a while that Ghana will pass on the competition, having completed rearward in Group F with only three points and no triumphs from six matches.
In a interview with Channel One television, Afriyie Ankrah communicated dissatisfaction over the present status of sports in the country and focused on the requirement for a total reset, including reevaluating the exhibition and the executives of the Dark Stars.
"It was incredibly, miserable, especially when Kudus planned to take the penalty and the manner in which the crowd was scoffing at him. I was so stunned," he said.
"I've seen nothing like that, and I believe it's no time like the present the entire nation investigated the whole Dark Stars, soccer, and sports, and do a reevaluate. It's the ideal opportunity for a reset," he added.
Following Ghana's inability to qualify, the Management Committee has been disbanded, with the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) likewise expected to choose Otto Addo's future today.
