In the 2025 Budget, Edudzi Tameklo is certain that President Mahama would keep the pledges he made to Ghanaians during the campaign.
He claimed that the 2025 Budget will demonstrate to Ghanaians that President Mahama will fulfill his 120-day social contract with them in an appearance on TV3's New Day on March 10.
"With the grace of the Almighty God, I am certain that Ghanaians would be blown away by President John Dramani Mahama's first budget tomorrow, Tuesday, March 11.
"The information, some of which I am aware of, will show that when a politician stands on a political platform and declares, 'Vote for me, and I'll do a, b, c, d,' he truly means it," Tameklo said.
"The details and the kind of thing that the President has...keep in mind that the budget is for the President, just that the Minister reads it on his behalf. Now, in that budget, it is evident that the campaign promises in our social contract to the people of this country are something we are going to make sure we will fulfill step by step," he continued.
He claims that the government's main pledges regarding tax reforms and national road building would be outlined in the 2025 budget, which he has the privilege of seeing.
He stated that agriculture will play a significant role in the budget and that it will offer a clear financial commitment for a long-term solution to the Keta tidal waves.
