Kofi Okyere-Darko, the Office of the President's Director of Diaspora Affairs, has called on Ghanaian media outlets to play at least 70% of their playlists of Ghanaian music in March.

Speaking on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Labadi Beach Hotel to kick off Heritage Month, Okyere-Darko stressed that the time is a chance for Ghanaians to celebrate their pride in their culture.

"This would help highlight Ghanaian music and contribute to the growth of the industry," he said, urging the media to use this time to promote local content.

Please allow us to perform Ghanaian music during the month of March. He pleaded with us to perform at least 70% Ghanaian music.

"We have enough music in our collection to keep us going for the entire month," Okyere-Darko continued.

"We have a beautiful country to build together, let's all build the country we want together," he added, urging Ghanaians to use Heritage Month as a moment for national reorientation.
