Ernest Nuamah, a winger for Ghana, was instrumental in Olympique Lyon's 2-0 victory over OGC Nice in Sunday's French Ligue 1 match at the Allianz Riviera.
Rayan Cherki broke the tie in the 78th minute after the first half ended without a goal.
Five minutes later, Nuamah gave Lyon all three points with a spectacular long-range goal from outside the 18-yard box to complete the victory.
Thiago Almada contributed to both goals and the assists that helped Lyon win.
The former FC Nordsjaelland attacker has already made 20 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, scoring three goals and dishing out one assist.
Lyon now has 42 points and is in sixth place thanks to the victory. They will host Le Havre on Sunday after playing FCSB in the Europa League on Thursday.
