The nomination of Aryeequaye is viewed as a calculated step toward advancing the Black Star Experience agenda, which seeks to strengthen Ghana's tourism, art, and culture industries.

He brings a plethora of industry expertise to his new position, having previously worked as the Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC) during the government of President John Dramani Mahama.

An important organization for the growth and administration of Ghana's creative arts sector is the Creative Arts Agency.

Under the guidelines of the Creative Industry Act (1048), the Executive Secretary, who is chosen by the President, is in charge of the agency's operations and answers to the Board.
