When asked why DopeNation was not nominated for the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), Robert Klah, Head of Communications and Public Events at Charterhouse Productions, responded.
In an interview on Hitz FM, Klah discussed the reason behind the commotion surrounding the duo's apparent rejection of the nomination.
He clarified that DopeNation did not submit a nomination despite having the hit song "Zormizor" during the year in question.
Robert Klah went on to say that they were unable to obtain approval for nomination.
"One would anticipate that their position would undoubtedly be established in the year under review on a platform such as this one. We tried to gain consent when there was no file, but we were unable to do so," he stated.
DJ Slim asked DopeNation a few days ago if they had submitted for nomination, but they could not provide a precise answer.
"I hear you guys didn't file for nominations and when the research team picked up your songs sef, you guys weren't responsive to the award scheme," DJ Slim inquired in an X post. How accurate is this?
"We have been fighting a lot that can't be said out of respect for some people in this hypocritical Music Space," DopeNation replied in response to the query. But can anyone remember from 2021? Perhaps some of us will realize, sir, that this is about more than simply awards. This industry will gradually lose its "TRUE ARTISTS."
