In accordance with CAF's revised coaching structure, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been approved by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to provide Licence "A" Coaching Courses in Ghana.
A major accomplishment for the GFA Technical Directorate, this approval comes after much planning and curriculum revisions.
The CAF A Licence program will be held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, with a maximum of 20 participants per session. A personal motivation statement, club documentation, proof of current coaching, and a CAF B license with two years of experience are requirements for eligibility. Final selections are decided following interviews, with preference given to full-time coaches from Ghana's national teams, regional associations, and top leagues.
In addition to a 120-day internship and four residential modules, the year-long school covers advanced subjects such positional coaching, game analysis, tactics, and player management, preparing coaches for senior roles and eventual qualifying for a CAF Pro License.
